Club Statement

The Northern Saints would like to formally announce that Brett Kennerley will no longer be senior coach in 2020. This was a very hard decision for the club and one that was made after careful consideration. The club would like to thank Brett for the dedication he showed this season and he is to be admired for his professionalism.

The club would also like to warmly thank assistant coach Glenn ‘Kanga’ Causon for his efforts this season. Kanga was also a welcome addition to the club, bringing a wealth of football knowledge, and demonstrating his commitment to the club by completing other volunteer roles throughout the season.

The club also extends their thanks to Jacob Kennerley for his commitment to the club, acting as senior runner, as well as completing any job asked of him. He was a great role model for the youth coming through at the Northern Saints.

While the results were not as hoped for this season, under Brett's leadership numerous players were given the opportunity to play senior football, which bodes well for the clubs future. The club was also able to create a Thirds team, a real achievement for a Division two club. The discipline of the club was also a highlight this season which is a testament to Brett’s leadership and the positive culture he helped instill.

We wish Brett, Jakob and Kanga the best of luck for the future.
