The Northern Saints were formed in October 2007 as a result of a merger between the North Coburg Saints, who played in the EDFL, and Fawkner Park, who played in the Northern Football League.

Fawkner Park was itself the result of an earlier merger — between Fawkner Amateurs and Moomba Park. Today the club sits within the Fawkner-North Coburg Sports Club, and is affiliated with the Essendon District Football League's Second Division.

New players are most welcome. Anybody seeking to become part of the club should contact the club or attend training at Charles Mutton Reserve.
