Tamanah Rahim

Tamanah Rahim (under 15's)

Tammy came to the club through a Community Program, called Count Me in. This is a program headed by Nazish Khan through Merri Health that was set up to introduce migrant women to sports. Tammy went from not knowing Australian Rules Football, to becoming one of her teams most reliable players, and also was the star of some interviews which featured in local publications.

Nickname and why: Tammy, prefer to be called Tammy.
Preferred position: Midfield/Wing
Weird rituals before or during a match: Everyone Muslim or Non-Muslim saying "InshAllah we win!" Reading a book minutes before a game.
Favourite ever AFL footballer and why: None, but I like Carlton and Essendon.
Biggest influence on your football so far: Being determined and inspired by other football teams. They motivate me and build a sense of desire to become like them one day.
Favourite football memory: Whenever one of us gets hurt or injured, the team is always there looking out for us when we need it. Or when the team say rituals and religious duas and words when they are not actually the same religion, it puts a smile to my face and makes be more determined to push to my limits, full capability and potential.
Best player you’ve played with and against: I'm not sure, but all players were really good.
Most annoying team mate: Annoying as in making us laugh... it would be Najla Chabaani.
Most reliable team mate: Ellie and Makayla D'angelo .
Most intelligent team mate: I would say Makayla and... Can I say me?😂 (Yes)
Favourite past time/hobby: Martial arts, working out, writing poems and reading.
Favourite band/musician: Astro, Straykids, Treasure.
Celebrity crush: Ji ChangWook & Seo KangJoon
3 people you would invite to a private dinner, dead or alive: My Mother's dad (deceased), My mother, My mother's Mum.
What you miss most about not being able to play footy: It was a chance to workout so I don't get to do that anymore. I miss laughing and training with my teammates. I miss not being able to play football because it has become a recently new favorite hobby of mine since 2019

Anthony Petrocco

Anthony Petrocco
Anthony has made an immediate impression at the club in his first year, with his fantastic leadership and dedication.
He has been a welcome addition crossing over from cross town rivals Pascoe Vale Football Club in search of regular first team football. Anthony is the perfect team mate, committed, a great communicator and reliable. We look forward to Anthony leading our backline for many years to come.

Nickname and why: Gaz, look like Garry Lyon, play like Gary Ablett (Snr & Jnr)
Preferred position? Anywhere around the back six
Weird rituals before or during a match? Weird ritual that seems to happen during every game is that the forward I’m playing on doesn’t get a kick.
Favourite ever AFL footballer and why? Lenny Hayes: courageous, skilful, consistent, tackling machine and just a no nonsense footballer. I cried when he retired.
Biggest influence on your football so far? My dad because he has never complimented me once in the 13 years I’ve played. This hasn’t made me strive to be better, just convinced me I’m no good.
Favourite football memory? Coming back from 5 goals down at 3 Qtr time to beat Strathmore in my first year of U19s at Paco.
Best player you’ve played with and against?
With: Lachie Stredwick (3 u19 bnfs in a row)
Against: Nick O’kearney
Funniest team mate? Matty Bennardo (because we laugh at him not with him)
Most annoying team mate? Matty Bennardo
Most reliable team mate? Peter Dispenzeri
Smartest team mate? Daniel Gennaccaro (chubby but knows how to find the ball)
Name the one team mate least likely to pay when eating out? Easy, Matty Bennardo
Favourite past time/hobby?
1. Getting together with mates for a night out
2. Tinder
Favourite band/musician? Me on the dj decks in the backyard
Celebrity crush? Francesca Farago

To say he is unique is an understatement. Leading the votes as the club’s most annoying team mate speaks volumes of the kid, however, the positive for his team is oppositions find him just as annoying as he provides constant and relentless ball pressure. Nickname and why? Ferret-because im a nuisance to the opposition (and teammates)
Preferred position? Rover
Weird rituals before or during a match? Filming myself dance
Favourite ever AFL footballer and why? Hodge- breathes success and is a hard nut
Biggest influence on your football so far? My Dad - Peter Bennardo

Aaron D'Cruz

Aaron D’Cruz

Aaron made a great impression in his first season last year after moving across from St. Albans, not only for his playing ability, but also for his leadership and attitude.

Favourite ever AFL footballer and why? Luke Hodge because he was an amazing leader and captain probably one of the best. Biggest influence on your football so far? Dad - Wouldn’t be where I am today both on and off the field without him.
Brett Kennerley - Gave me a new lease on footy, helped me become a better leader and find the love for the game again

Favourite football memory? Winning my first flag with some of my best mates

Best player you’ve played with and against? Played with - Tim Jenkins and Tamer Abdallah. Played against - Lachlan Baddely

Funniest team mate? Nick Bruno! Never met someone so in love with them-self 🤣

Most annoying team mate? Matty Bernardo - says and does some strange things

Most reliable team mate? Pistol

Smartest team mate? Slim pickings here 🤣 But would have to say the big polar bear, Jason

Name the one team mate least likely to pay when eating out? Thomas Kosmak loves a free drink so i’m sure same applies for food

Favourite past time/hobby? Watching or playing sport and PS4

Favourite band/musician? Coldplay

Celebrity crush? Megan Fox/Scarlett Johansson

3 people you would invite to a private dinner, dead or alive? Kevin Hart, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady

What you miss most about not being able to play footy? Miss being part of a community where I can be both with my mates and play the game i love. It’s been a part of my life for so long now, feels a bit empty without it
